EMBODY Philippines 2027 · Community Your journey can move others.

The Community Impact Challenge — one of the things that makes EMBODY different.

The Community Impact Challenge

Every candidate leaves a mark.

Each candidate chooses a fitness or wellness issue relevant to their community. They develop a project. They put it into action. And they document its impact.

Because outdoing yourself means more when it lifts the people around you.

Illustrative scene: Three pairs of adult hands planting a young tree in a community garden, rich soil, small terracotta pot, sleeves in linen and olive. Top-down close view.

How the challenge works

From an issue to impact.

  1. Illustrative scene: An adult hand measuring a damaged wooden bench with an unmarked measuring stick beside an empty neighborhood exercise area, close detail of wood and fingers, cool morning light, no numbers.

    Step 1

    The Issue

    Look close to home.

Each candidate chooses a fitness or wellness issue that matters in their own community — something they have seen firsthand.

    • Pick a real, local need
    • Explain why it matters to you
  2. Illustrative scene: Overhead photograph of adult hands arranging blank colored wooden tokens into a simple project plan on a gray cork board, cream shirt cuffs, tactile materials, no writing or notebook.

    Step 2

    The Idea

    Design something doable.

Candidates shape a project that answers the issue: a programme, an event, a habit-building campaign or a partnership.

    • Set a clear goal
    • Plan who it will reach
  3. Illustrative scene: Two adult pairs of hands fastening a new simple rope net to an outdoor sports hoop, only hands and short forearms against blue sky and green branches, realistic detail.

    Step 3

    The Action

    Put it to work.

The project happens on the ground during the EMBODY journey, with the community it was built for.

    • Run it with the community
    • Bring others along
  4. Illustrative scene: An adult hand placing a reusable steel water bottle beside a row of brightly colored cones on a well-maintained community playing field, intimate side view, soft afternoon light, no background people.

    Step 4

    The Impact

    Show what changed.

Candidates document the results — the people who took part, what moved and what keeps going after the finals.

    • Document the results
    • Share the story

Possible focus areas

Where a project could start.

  • Youth fitness

Getting kids and teens moving through sport, play and school programmes.

  • Mental wellness

Making it easier to talk about stress, rest and asking for help.

  • Active ageing

Helping parents and grandparents stay strong, mobile and connected.

  • Healthy eating

Practical, affordable food habits for families and barangays.

  • Inclusive sport

Opening training and events to PWD and adaptive athletes.

  • Outdoor & coastal activity

Using beaches, parks and trails as free places to train together.

Examples only — candidates choose the issue that matters most to their community.
